Ingredients

  • 1 lb of fresh mushrooms
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Directions

  1. Clean the mushrooms and slice them into 1/4 inch thick slices.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Add the mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are browned and tender.
  5. Add the nutmeg, salt, and pepper, and stir to combine.
  6. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the oil.
  8. Carefully add the mushrooms to the skillet and fry for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Remove from the heat and serve immediately.
