Ingredients

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cook macaroni according to package instructions.
  3. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
  4. Whisk in flour and dry mustard until smooth.
  5. Gradually whisk in milk and bring to a low boil, stirring constantly.
  6. Reduce heat to low and simmer sauce for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Stir in cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper and black pepper.
  8. Mix in cooked macaroni and pour into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  9. Sprinkle bread crumbs over the top.
  10. Bake for 20 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
