Ingredients

  • 4 slices of white bread
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of raspberry jam
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar

Directions

  1. Spread butter onto each slice of bread.
  2. Place a slice of ham on two slices of the bread, then top with a slice of cheese.
  3. Spread raspberry jam on the other two slices of bread, then place them on top of the ham and cheese slices.
  4. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and sugar.
  5. Dip the sandwich in the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
  7. Remove from heat and serve.
