  • 3 pounds beef chuck roast

Directions

  1. Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper on all sides.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the beef chuck roast on all sides until browned.
  4. Transfer the beef to the slow cooker.
  5. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and minced garlic.
  6. Cook until the onion is softened and translucent.
