- 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and cold water. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
- Microwave the sugar mixture on high for 2 minutes, stirring once after 1 minute.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the egg whites into the sugar mixture.
- Microwave the mixture on high for 2 minutes, stirring once after 1 minute.
- Stir in the vanilla extract, salt, and walnuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.
- Let the divinity candy cool before serving.
