Ingredients
1 can (15 ounces) black beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 egg
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup olive oil
Directions
In a medium bowl, mash the black beans with a fork or potato masher until they are broken down and slightly mushy.
Add the onion, bread crumbs, egg, chili powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper and mix everything together with a spoon.
Form the mixture into four equally sized patties.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the patties to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
Serve on buns with your favorite toppings.
