Ingredients
- 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup olive oil
Directions
- In a medium bowl, mash the black beans with a fork or potato masher until they are broken down and slightly mushy.
- Add the onion, bread crumbs, egg, chili powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper and mix everything together with a spoon.
- Form the mixture into four equally sized patties.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the patties to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
- Serve on buns with your favorite toppings.
