Ingredients
- 2 cups pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, bring the maple syrup and butter to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for approximately 15 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the baking soda.
- Pour the mixture onto a greased baking sheet and spread it out with a spatula.
- Allow the mixture to cool and harden for about 5 minutes.
- Once it is cool enough to touch, roll the mixture into a log and cut it into pieces.
- Roll each piece into a ball and place it on a piece of wax paper.
- Allow the taffy to cool completely before serving.
