Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch unbaked deep-dish pie crust
  • 3/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups pecan halves

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, brown sugar, butter, flour, cinnamon, eggs, vanilla and salt until well blended.
  3. Stir in the pecans and pour into the prepared pie crust.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the center is set and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Cool on a wire rack for at least 2 hours before serving.
