This Maple Cinnamon Ham Glaze is the perfect combination of sweet and savory flavors. Made with maple syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a hint of mustard, it adds a delicious caramelized crust to your ham. It's easy to make and will impress your guests at any holiday gathering or special occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 spiral-cut ham (about 8-10 pounds)

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the maple syrup, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, Dijon mustard, ground cloves, ground nutmeg, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir until the mixture is well combined and the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. Remove the ham from its packaging and place it in a roasting pan with the cut side down.
  5. Brush the maple-cinnamon glaze generously over the surface of the ham, making sure to coat every inch.
  6. Cover the ham with aluminum foil and roast in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
  7. Every 20-30 minutes, remove the ham from the oven, uncover, and baste with the drippings. This will help to create a sticky and caramelized glaze.
  8. Once the ham reaches the desired temperature, remove it from the oven and let it rest for about 10-15 minutes before carving.
  9. Serve the ham warm with any remaining glaze on the side.
