Ingredients

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of finely chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup of raisins

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Stir in the walnuts and raisins. Spread the batter into the prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool before cutting into bars.
