Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 pounds beef short ribs
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Directions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the short ribs with dried oregano, basil, thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the ribs to the skillet and cook until browned on both sides, about 8 minutes.
  4. Add the beef broth, red wine, tomato paste, balsamic vinegar, and honey to the skillet. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 1 hour.
  6. Uncover and cook for an additional 30 minutes, or until the ribs are tender and the sauce has thickened.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
