Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (1 lb) loaf frozen bread dough, thawed

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain off any excess fat.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the cooked sausage, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, oregano, and basil. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the bread dough into a 12x16 inch rectangle.
  5. Spread the sausage mixture evenly over the dough. Roll up the dough, beginning at a long side, to form a log. Place the log on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
