Ingredients
- 1 pound of dried black beans
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 4 cups of water
Directions
- Rinse the black beans and remove any debris.
- Add the rinsed beans, garlic powder, cumin, olive oil, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and water to the Instant Pot.
- Close the lid and turn the valve to the sealing position.
- Cook on the “Manual” setting for 25 minutes.
- When the timer is done, let the pressure release naturally for 20 minutes.
- Open the lid and stir the beans. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
- Serve as a side dish or use them as a base for other meals.
