Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves, packed
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    • Directions

      1. In a food processor, combine the basil, Parmesan, olive oil, garlic, pine nuts, salt, and pepper. Pulse until the mixture is well combined and has a paste-like consistency.
      2. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
      3. Serve immediately, or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
