Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup water
  • Optional: herbs and spices for flavoring

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder. Stir until well blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together oil and water. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough until it's about 1/8-inch (3 mm) thick.
  5. Use a pizza cutter or sharp knife to cut the dough into cracker shapes.
  6. Place crackers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool before serving.
