Ingredients
- 1 block of firm tofu, drained and pressed
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced

- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for garnish
Directions
- Cut the tofu into small cubes and pat dry with a paper towel. Toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until coated.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the bell peppers and onion, and cook for 2-3 minutes, until slightly softened.
