This Grilled Teriyaki Beer Chicken recipe is a delicious and easy way to add flavor to your grilled chicken. The chicken is marinated in a homemade teriyaki sauce infused with beer, garlic, ginger, and other seasonings. Grilling the chicken adds a smoky and charred flavor, while the teriyaki sauce keeps the meat moist and tender. Serve with a side of rice and vegetables for a complete and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/2 cup beer (preferably lager)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, beer, garlic, ginger, brown sugar, vegetable oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, turning occasionally.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade and discard leftover marinade.
  4. Grill the chicken for about 8-10 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. While the chicken is grilling, pour the leftover marinade into a small saucepan. In a separate bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water until smooth. Add the cornstarch mixture to the saucepan with the marinade.
  6. Bring the marinade to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens.
  7. Once the chicken is cooked, remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  8. Drizzle the thickened teriyaki sauce over the grilled chicken breasts and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
  9. Serve hot with steamed rice and your favorite vegetables.
