Ingredients
- 1 hanger steak
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup port
- 1 shallot, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the hanger steak with salt and pepper.
- Add the oil to the skillet and add the steak. Cook for 4 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
- Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
- Reduce the heat to medium and add the port, shallot, garlic, and thyme. Simmer for 4 minutes.
- Add the butter and stir until melted. Simmer for 2 minutes more.
