Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) honey
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) butter
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons (10 ml) vanilla extract
- 2 cups (480 ml) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 ml) salt
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a baking sheet.
- In a medium bowl, cream together the honey, butter, and sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir into the creamed mixture until well blended.
- Roll the dough into walnut sized balls, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Press down with a fork to make a crisscross pattern.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
- Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
