Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon espresso powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350F and lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, cocoa powder, espresso powder, and salt until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, whisking until fully incorporated. Add the vanilla extract and stir to combine.
- Stir in the flour until just combined. Do not over mix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread into an even layer.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
