Ingredients

  • 4-5 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1/2 cup of flour
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (optional)
  • 3 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F (175 C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium saucepan, heat milk and butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Add cubed potatoes and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  4. Pour potatoes into the prepared baking dish and top with shredded cheese and bacon (optional).
  5. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
