Indulge in the bold and tangy flavors of the Caribbean with these delicious spiced pork side ribs. Marinated in a blend of tropical spices and slow-cooked to perfection, these ribs will transport you to a tropical paradise with every bite.

Ingredients

  • 2 racks of pork side ribs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground allspice
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon thyme
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, allspice, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  2. Rub the spice mixture onto the ribs, making sure to coat them evenly. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together orange juice, soy sauce, vinegar, and vegetable oil to create the marinade.
  4. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Place the ribs on a baking sheet and pour the marinade over them.
  5. Cover the ribs with foil and bake for 2 hours, basting occasionally with the marinade.
  6. Remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C). Bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the ribs are caramelized and tender.
  7. Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before cutting and serving. Enjoy the Caribbean flavors!
