Ingredients

  • 2 flat iron steaks
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup of balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced

Directions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
  2. Season the steaks with salt and pepper to taste, then add them to the skillet.
  3. Cook the steaks for about 5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to desired doneness.
  4. Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar, honey, and garlic.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes, or until the sauce has reduced and thickened.
  7. Return the steaks to the skillet and spoon the balsamic reduction over them.
  8. Continue cooking for a few minutes, or until the steaks are warmed through.
  9. Serve the steaks with the balsamic reduction sauce.
