It's so easy to make and requires just a handful of ingredients. Treat yourself to a delectable sweet treat that is sure to impress your friends and family.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • Sea salt flakes, for sprinkling

Directions

  1. Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the granulated sugar, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and sea salt to the saucepan. Stir until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture comes to a boil.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Add the sweetened condensed milk and light corn syrup to the saucepan. Increase the heat to medium and bring the mixture to a boil again, stirring constantly.
  6. Continue to cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it reaches the soft ball stage. This usually takes about 15-20 minutes. To test if it's ready, drop a small amount of the mixture into a bowl of cold water. If it forms a soft ball, it's ready.
  7. Once the mixture reaches the soft ball stage, remove it from the heat and let it cool for a minute.
  8. Pour the fudge into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
  9. Sprinkle sea salt flakes over the top of the fudge.
  10. Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature for at least 2 hours or until set.
  11. Once set, remove the fudge from the baking dish and cut it into small squares.
  12. Store the fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
