This Special Cereal Bread is a flavorful and nutritious alternative to regular bread. Made with a combination of whole wheat flour, oats, and a variety of healthy cereals, this bread is packed with fiber, vitamins, and minerals. The addition of honey adds a touch of sweetness, while the seeds and nuts give it a crunchy texture. This bread is easy to prepare, and perfect for breakfast or as a snack. Enjoy it toasted with butter or your favorite spread for a satisfying and delicious treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup corn flakes
  • 1/2 cup bran flakes
  • 1/2 cup barley flakes
  • 1/4 cup flaxseeds
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, oats, corn flakes, bran flakes, barley flakes, flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, chopped almonds, honey, yeast, and salt.
  2. Gradually add warm water to the mixture and mix well using a wooden spoon or your hands. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place the loaf in a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  6. Cover the loaf with a damp cloth and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  8. Remove the bread from the pan and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
  9. Serve the Special Cereal Bread toasted with butter or your favorite spread.
