  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained

  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 4 burger buns
  • Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado, cheese)


  1. In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until almost smooth.
  2. Add the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, pepper, cilantro, and beaten egg to the bowl with the black beans.
  3. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined.
  4. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
  5. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and lightly grease with oil.
  6. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.

  9. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun.
