Ingredients
- 6-8 lb pork butt
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
Directions
- Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, chili powder, and cumin to make spice rub.
- Rub spice mixture all over pork butt, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat smoker to 225°F.
- Place pork butt in smoker and smoke for 6-8 hours, or until internal temperature reaches 195°F.
- Remove pork butt from smoker and let rest for 30 minutes.
- Shred pork using two forks or meat claws.
- Mix apple cider vinegar, apple juice, and BBQ sauce in a bowl.
- Pour mixture over shredded pork and mix well to combine.
