Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, melted butter, salt, eggs, and flour to the yeast mixture and mix until well combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, then place in a greased bowl and let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Roll out the dough into a 16x21 inch rectangle.
  5. Spread softened butter over the dough and sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on top.
  6. Roll up the dough and cut into 12 rolls. Place in a greased pan and let rise for 30 minutes.
  7. Bake the rolls at 350°F for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Whisk together powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a splash of milk to make the glaze. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
