Ingredients

  • 1 can of full-fat coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup of nutritional yeast
  • 1/4 cup of tapioca starch
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons of freshly-squeezed lemon juice

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the coconut milk over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Reduce heat to low.
  2. Add the nutritional yeast, tapioca starch, olive oil, onion powder, garlic powder, sea salt, turmeric powder, paprika, and black pepper to the pan and whisk until combined.
  3. Continue stirring for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  4. Add the lemon juice and stir for another minute.
  5. Remove from heat and serve warm over your favorite dish.
