These egg rolls are filled with a flavorful mixture of vegetables, meat, and seasonings, wrapped in a crispy shell and deep-fried to perfection. Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 package egg roll wrappers
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sweet chili sauce for dipping

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground pork over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the cabbage, carrots, bean sprouts, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Cook for 5 minutes or until the vegetables have softened. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool.
  3. Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the pork and vegetable mixture onto the center of the wrapper. Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling and roll tightly, sealing the edges with a bit of water.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 375°F (190°C). Fry the egg rolls for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve the egg rolls hot with sweet chili sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
