Ingredients

  • 1 pound dry pasta (any shape)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  3. Add the white wine and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Add the cream, Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Add the asparagus and peas and simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the skillet. Toss to combine.
  7. Serve the pasta topped with fresh parsley.
