Easy-Peezy Sweet Toasted Cheese Sandwich
Ingredients
1 pound dry pasta (any shape)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
1 cup frozen peas
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Directions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Add the white wine and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Add the cream, Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add the asparagus and peas and simmer for 5 minutes.
Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the skillet. Toss to combine.
Serve the pasta topped with fresh parsley.
