In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, salt, and pepper.
Dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture to coat.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until lightly browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes per side.
Remove the chicken from the skillet. Add the mushrooms to the skillet and cook until lightly browned, about 3 minutes.
Add the white wine (or chicken broth) to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 3 minutes, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
Add the cream to the skillet and stir to combine. Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for 5 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
Garnish with parsley and serve.
