- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Directions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Dredge them in flour, shaking off any excess.

- Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream, paprika, and dried thyme. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Slice the cooked chicken into thin strips and return them to the skillet. Add the frozen peas and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the peas are heated through.
- Season with additional salt and pepper, if needed.
