Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup of your favorite chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the baking soda, flour, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a greased baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before serving.
