Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup matzo meal
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the matzo meal, eggs, oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and water. Mix until well combined.
  2. Cover the bowl and let the mixture rest for 15 minutes.
  3. Shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. In a large pot, bring 6 cups of water to a boil.
  5. Carefully drop the matzo balls into the boiling water. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove the matzo balls from the water and serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley, if desired.
