Indulge in the rich and creamy goodness of Joey's Cheesecake. This classic New York style cheesecake is the perfect combination of velvety smooth texture, tangy cream cheese flavor, and a buttery graham cracker crust. With just a few simple ingredients and a little patience, you can enjoy a slice of cheesecake heaven in no time.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 3 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Fresh berries or whipped cream for garnish (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the sour cream and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour and continue to mix until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  7. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake in the oven for another hour to cool gradually.
  8. Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool completely at room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
  9. Before serving, garnish with fresh berries or whipped cream if desired.
  10. Slice and serve chilled. Enjoy!
