Ingredients
- 1 pound of clams
- 1 pound of mussels
- 1 pound of crab
- 1 pound of shrimp
- 1 cup of white wine
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon of dried basil
- 2 tablespoons of fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
- 1 cup of chicken broth
- 1 lemon, sliced
Directions
- Rinse the clams and mussels in cold water and remove any debris.
- In a large pot, heat the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until the onion is soft and translucent.
- Add the oregano, basil, and parsley and stir for 1 minute.
- Add the paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and red pepper flakes and stir for 1 minute.
- Add the white wine and chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Add the clams and mussels to the pot and cover with a lid. Cook for 10 minutes.
- Add the crab and shrimp to the pot and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the lemon slices and stir gently. Cover the pot and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove the pot from the heat and let stand for 5 minutes.
- Serve the clam bake in shallow bowls with crusty bread.
