Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9 inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugars until smooth. Beat in egg and milk until blended. Stir in the flour mixture until just blended.
  4. Spread the dough in the prepared pan. Bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack.
  5. Cut into wedges or slices. Serve warm or at room temperature.
