Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Mix in the oats and chocolate chips.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
