Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. In a large pot over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5 minutes. Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic and cook for another 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, oregano, tomato paste, diced tomatoes, black beans, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve. Enjoy!
