Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 1 pound chicken breast, diced
- 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup frozen broccoli florets
- 1 package cheese tortellini
Directions
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the onion, garlic, carrots, and celery and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Add the chicken, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper and cook until the chicken is cooked through, about 5 minutes.
- Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the cream and broccoli and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the tortellini and cook for 5 minutes, or until the tortellini is cooked through.
- Serve hot.
