Ingredients
- 1 pound of deli-sliced Italian beef
- 3 Italian rolls
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup of giardiniera (pickled vegetables)
- 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese (grated)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, and red pepper flakes.
- Add the Italian beef and mix to combine.
- Spread the Italian beef onto a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
- While the beef is baking, slice the Italian rolls in half and spread the giardiniera onto both halves.
- When the beef is done baking, top each roll with the Italian beef and sprinkle with the mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for an additional 7-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the oven and season with salt and pepper to taste.
