Ingredients

  • 1 pound of deli-sliced Italian beef
  • 3 Italian rolls
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup of giardiniera (pickled vegetables)
  • 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese (grated)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Add the Italian beef and mix to combine.
  4. Spread the Italian beef onto a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
  5. While the beef is baking, slice the Italian rolls in half and spread the giardiniera onto both halves.
  6. When the beef is done baking, top each roll with the Italian beef and sprinkle with the mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake for an additional 7-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from the oven and season with salt and pepper to taste.
