Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. calamari, cut into rings
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank's RedHot)

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt.
  2. Add the calamari rings to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the flour mixture.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the coated calamari rings and cook until golden brown, about 4 minutes. Remove from the heat and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the hot sauce and butter until combined. Add the cooked calamari rings and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Serve with celery sticks and your favorite dipping sauce.
