Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb bow-tie pasta
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (6-ounce) can tuna, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup thawed and drained frozen spinach

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add chicken broth, half-and-half, garlic powder, oregano, basil, pepper, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring often.
  3. Add tuna and Parmesan cheese to saucepan. Simmer for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in spinach and cooked pasta. Cook for 2 minutes or until heated through. Serve immediately.
