Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground venison
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 (14.5-ounce) cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Directions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the ground venison and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the onion and garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the beef broth, tomatoes, Italian seasoning, sugar, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. Stir in the parsley and serve hot.
