Ingredients

  • 1 pound of bow-tie pasta
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 large red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 cup of white wine
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the bow-tie pasta.
  2. Cook the pasta for 8-10 minutes or until al-dente.
  3. Drain the pasta and set aside.
  4. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  5. Add the red bell pepper and garlic powder and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Add the red pepper flakes, oregano, and salt and cook for another 1 minute.
  7. Pour in the white wine and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  8. Add the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a boil.
  9. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  10. Add the cooked bow-tie pasta to the sauce and stir to combine.
  11. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and cook for 1 minute.
  12. Remove from the heat and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
