Ingredients
1 pound of bow-tie pasta
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 large red bell pepper, diced
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 cup of white wine
1/2 cup of heavy cream
1/4 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Directions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the bow-tie pasta.
Cook the pasta for 8-10 minutes or until al-dente.
Drain the pasta and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Add the red bell pepper and garlic powder and cook for 2 minutes.
Add the red pepper flakes, oregano, and salt and cook for another 1 minute.
Pour in the white wine and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Add the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
Add the cooked bow-tie pasta to the sauce and stir to combine.
Stir in the Parmesan cheese and cook for 1 minute.
Remove from the heat and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.

Bow-tie pasta is also known as farfalle, which means butterfly in Italian.
The red pepper sauce can be used with other types of pasta, such as fettuccine or penne.
This dish is a great way to use up leftover white wine.
