Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, buttermilk, sugar, nutmeg, and lemon zest. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  3. Fold in the blueberries. Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
