Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 ounces) chili with beans
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 cups Fritos original corn chips
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sliced jalapenos (optional)
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until beef is browned and vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.
- Drain fat from the skillet, then stir in chili, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- In a 9x13-inch baking dish, layer Fritos, ground beef mixture, cheese, tomatoes, and jalapenos and olives (if using).
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot.
