Directions
- Combine the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper in a food processor or blender. Pulse until the mixture is smooth.
- With the machine running, slowly add the olive oil and continue to process until the hummus is creamy and smooth.
- Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and garnish with the parsley or cilantro, if desired.
- Serve the hummus with warm pita bread, crackers, or vegetables.
