Ingredients

  • 1 pound of bacon strips
  • 2 cups of apple cider
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Set aside.
  2. Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the cider, chili powder, cumin, and salt and pepper to the skillet and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked bacon back to the skillet and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Serve hot.
